Here is an example of the design process from sketches to the final piece.

 The first step is to do some rough drawing, this is the result of communication between the designer/craftsman and the client. 

  Ideas are exchanged to come up with the sample designs.

 In this case some variations on an idea where presented.

 This is a bit more refined version with a touch of color added.

 

 

 The next step was to hand carve a wax pattern which is later cast into the desired metal using the lost  wax casting technique,  still the most widely used approach for jewelry making.

You can see the various stages this goes through. This did start from a plan block of wax.

     In this final stage the wax pattern is polished and refined and ready for casting.

This is the final piece after casting the metal was polished and the diamonds were set.
